Well, within the spirit of the e-mail, you buy the bumper pool table first.  You can always buy brand new folding chairs from walmart for $15.

1st off, who's counting the votes?

2ndly, do our votes really count? and

3rdly, BUY THE BUMPER TABLE then use ur daughters furniture, ie. the leather pull out sofa bed, the (Kinkaid) queen-size 4-poster solid oak bed, the solid walnut twin-sized beds with matching nightstand, and the solid wood kitchen table with inlaid tile in it and matching chairs and bench, and the (Basset) mission style oak-computer desk with matching file cabinet!

Dad,

This is pretty much a no brainer.

Ask yourself these questions.

1) Would I rather have a nice warm bed with my wife in it with me to keep me warm, or

2) Would I rather sleep on a dining room table/ bumper pool/ poker table with one of the bumpers stuck up my tail end.

I'm sure you know I'd want my wife with me in a nice warm bed.

I hope you make the right decision.

Wow, those are really beautiful....I thought you were joking (as usual) but if you're serious, then I will give a serious answer.

#1) If you're going with one of those 3 tables, I would go for either the top one (most expensive) or the 3rd (middle priced) one cuz the least inexpensive one is only about $50.00 under the middle one.

#2) I personally would go with a bed & at least couch first, before a dining table. Ya'll can eat off of TV trays or in your mobile home or wherever, but you NEED a bed & a couch. Also, as Mendy & I were saying, you should get a sleeper sofa, for company to sleep on, such as myself & Glenn, when we come visit ;)

By the way, your bed doesn't have to match the dining room table. Unless of course you plan to dine it IN the bedroom. (HAHAHA, just a joke for Jim, who hasn't lived in a real house for years, LOL) AND Finding a sleeper/sofa you like is hard enough, you should try to find it first & THEN get the table to match your furniture......Hence, the first table has "5" different finishes to choose from.

Hmmm, it was a tough decision, but I vote for # 2.  You need a place to sleep first, otherwise, you will be too tired to do any more furniture shopping!

Hi J&M!

Mark and I both say you have to have furniture first and then a bumper pool/poker/dining table. It is awfully hard to get a good night's rest on the table combo.  Also, it doesn't make a very good place to sit and write e-mails or watch tv. So, I guess you get two votes for #2 from the Neibuhr house.  If Meghan were still up, I think that would have to be a tally of three votes for #2.

Well, well, well.  It sounds like you have yourselves a pickle.  I would guess that furniture might be the best start for a lot of other reasons not really high on a "boys" list of wants (notice that I said boy and not man because a man wouldn't need to ask his friends what to do) and my vote is for furniture.  So anyways, I feel that whatever Mendy wants, Mendy gets.

No question - pool table first!!! The bad thing is, I'm sure you have already decided that all friends would vote for the pool table.  Scary thought.  I'm not sure if I really want to be included in that category.  Ahh well, my vote is cast.

Immediately after the original e-mail was sent out Mendy was on the web trying to decide what color pool table she wanted. Guess that settled the issue.
